The regulation of gene expression is controlled by multiple mechanisms, such as the sequence-specific binding of transcription factors to DNA, epigenetic signals and a dynamic chromatin state. An unbiased understanding of these processes requires access to large-scale experiments and the capacity to analyse genome-wide data. Our Deep-Sequencing Unit provides a powerful technology (Illumina HiSeq-2000) to generate data at an unprecedented scope, resolution and rate. The Bioinformatics Unit is operating a Data Center to process, analyse and visualize this information. We also provide training and help our colleagues to interprete genome-wide data.
